This month I received my tax return for the last financial year. The letter has the ATO letterhead, as did the cheque (ABN 51 824 753 556).However, what was interesting is that the cheque contains in large font the words “Reserve Bank of Australia”. Any idea of the connection between the ATO, RBA and tax returns?
